Charter a train and we will show you and your group Dunedin by Rail

For that special occasion the Taieri Gorge Railway can offer you a package to suit you. Contact our Marketing staff to discuss your needs.

Charters

Charter an exclusive train to the Taieri River Gorge or to any South Island destination with rail access.

Taieri Gorge Railway Carriages

Alternatively small groups (1 to 100) may prefer to hire a carriage(s) on the daily prestige Taieri Gorge Limited train.

Track & Trail

We can take your group from Dunedin to Queenstown, or vice-versa, on a special train & coach charter.

Dine & Dance

Or catch the train to a party on one of our Dine and Dance trips.

Barn Dances and Riverside Dances

Join the fun and catch a train to a party. On set dates during the year, Dine and Dance train trips are organised by the Taieri Gorge Railway, where we bring a number of social groups together for a great night out.

For groups of less than 100, this is an economical way of enjoying all the benefits functions usually restricted to larger private bookings. Trips are available on Friday and Saturday evenings only and include full entertainment and catering.

Dances are held either in a Riverside marquee or at the historic stone barn at Cottesbrook Station
